Fanakapan

The elusive Fanakapan is a hugely prolific London-based street artist known for his hyper realism. His free-hand spray painting and skill in combining shadows, highlights and reflections is unmatched and has earned him a reputation within the urban contemporary art scene.

The self-taught artist has a background in prop making but he got into stencilling and eventually spray painting in the early 2000’s and over the years he has developed into the extraordinary artist he is today.

From a distance, Fanakapan’s work is easily mistaken for being a real 3-D object. In fact, his 3D creations of helium foil balloons look so real, that it often requires the extent of a human touch to discover that it is not.

Although some of his art works imply some strong messages, he wants people to read into it whatever they think it should stand for.
